The Physician serves as a healthcare professional capable of handling a variety of health-related problems. The work involves addressing moderately complex to complex issues where in-depth evaluation of variable factors is required.
The Physician focuses on outpatient medicine, continuity of care, health maintenance, and disease prevention. Responsibilities include keeping medical histories and records, referring patients to specialists as needed, and influencing departmental strategies. The role involves making decisions on complex issues regarding technical approaches for project components, often performing work independently with considerable latitude in objectives and methods.

Job Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients according to standards of care
- Monitor quality of care using data and chart reviews
- Coordinate patient services effectively
- Participate actively in care team discussions and daily huddles
- Collaborate with Regional Medical Director and Center Administrator to foster a professional and cooperative practice environment
- Complete all medical documentation promptly, working with coding specialists to ensure accuracy
- Adhere to policies and protocols set by Clinical Leadership
- Engage with leadership about quality, outcomes, policies, and records
- Contribute to growth opportunities within the center
- Ensure compliance with licensing, certification, and accreditation standards
Qualifications
- Board Certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine (preferred)
- Active, unrestricted DEA license
- Medicare Provider Number
- Two to five years of relevant experience (preferred)
- Experience managing Medicare Advantage panels and understanding of coordinated care in a value-based environment
- Knowledge of Medicare guidelines and coverage
- Understanding of HEDIS quality indicators
