Job Summary

Geisinger is seeking Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Geriatric physicians for an exciting primary care opportunity for patients over the age of 65 at Geisinger 65 Health Center Scranton, in Scranton, PA.

Job Duties

Join an established practice in the Scranton office, located two hours from Philadelphia International Airport and New York City. When you come to interview, expect a community tour to see our beautiful surroundings.

Geisinger 65 Forward offers a comprehensive approach to primary care for people aged 65 and older, dedicated to providing "one place" for all health and well-being needs.

Since its inception in 2019, Geisinger 65 Forward has consistently maintained over 95% patient satisfaction. Fulfill your calling at Geisinger 65 Forward by helping patients stay healthier and happier to enjoy more of what life has to offer. At work, you will experience:

• More time with patients: Up to 60 minutes to answer questions and address concerns.
• Easier and more frequent appointments: Specializing in healthcare for seniors allows us to see them more often.
• Smaller patient panels: Maximum of 500 patients per physician.
• Interdisciplinary team: Including nursing, care coordinators, social workers, receptionists, nutritionists, administrators, and wellness coordinators.
• Support for patients: From group ceramics to rummy card games, our centers offer various activities to foster social connections.

We take pride in supporting our physicians:

• Compensation: Salary starting at $320k, based on experience.
• Up to $250k recruitment incentives.
• Fellowship stipend: Up to $45k, available up to 18 months prior to graduation, paid in a lump sum.
• Continuing medical education: 15 working days and $4,500 CME funds.
• Fully paid relocation.
• 401(k): Geisinger contributes over $15k annually.
• Academic involvement: With medical students and residents.
