Qualifications

About the Role

The Physician serves as a healthcare professional capable of handling a variety of health-related problems. The work involves addressing moderately complex to complex issues, requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

The Physician focuses on outpatient medicine, continuity of care, health maintenance, and disease prevention. Responsibilities include maintaining medical histories and records, referring patients to specialists as needed, and influencing departmental strategies. The role involves making decisions on complex issues regarding technical approaches for project components, often performing work independently with considerable latitude in objectives and methods.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Evaluate and treat patients according to standards of care.
  2. Monitor care quality through data analysis and chart reviews.
  3. Coordinate patient services effectively.
  4. Participate actively in daily team huddles and contribute medical expertise.
  5. Support a cooperative practice environment with professionalism and approachability.
  6. Complete medical records promptly and work with coding teams to ensure accuracy.
  7. Adhere to policies and protocols set by Clinical Leadership.
  8. Meet regularly with the Regional Medical Director to review care quality and policies.
  9. Identify growth opportunities for new or existing services.
  10. Ensure compliance with licensing, certification, and accreditation standards.
Qualifications
  1. Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine (preferred).
  2. Active, unrestricted DEA license.
  3. 2-5 years of relevant experience preferred.
  4. Experience managing Medicare Advantage panels and understanding of coordinated care in a value-based environment.
  5. Knowledge of Medicare guidelines and HEDIS quality indicators.
