Job description

Our client in Rensselaer County, NY is in need of a Family Medicine Physician for a full-time assignment!

Job details:

• Start - ASAP
• Open to 4-day or 5-day work week. 40 hours per week, 34 patient facing hours.
• Call is 1 in every 13 weeks, weeklong call from Monday evening to the following Monday morning.
• The amount of calls vary obviously during things like flu season, etc they are higher
• The facility provides a full range of health care services for the entire family, including pediatric medicine for newborns through age 17: well-child visits (routine, school, sports, and camp physicals); immunizations; adolescent health; sick visits by appointment; ADHD care; and hospital / ER follow up.
• Adult medicine services for established patients include routine care for illness, injury, and chronic medical conditions; preventive health and wellness screenings; routine immunizations and preventive inoculations; routine physicals (including employment, insurance, and school physicals); and sick visits by appointment.
• This practice also offers refugee health assessments in conjunction with the New York State Department of Health. Clinical social workers are onsite for consultation, assessment, and referrals.

Job Requirements:

• Board Eligible (within 5 years of eligibility) or Board Certified in Family Medicine - REQUIRED
• NY License (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
• DEA Verbal Confirmation (or able to obtain prior to start) - REQUIRED
• Strong desire to work with refugee population - HIGHLY PREFERRED
