Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey, Primary Care Physician

Clinical Role:

1. Responsibilities include providing patient medical care to all age groups in an office-based setting, delivering diagnostic and therapeutic medical services, and making sound medical assessments and treatment plans.
2. Outpatient setting.
3. Office Hours are as follows (schedule TBD by practice, includes some on call and rotating Saturday shifts):
   • Monday - 9am-6pm
   • Tuesday - 9am-8pm
   • Wednesday - 8am-8pm
   • Thursday - 8am-9pm
   • Friday - 9am-5pm
   • Saturday - 9am-1pm
4. Disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
5. Treatment of acute illnesses and injuries.
6. Prescribes and administers medications, performs routine vaccinations, and provides health advice.
7. Requests tests, follow-up visits, and refers patients to specialists as needed.
8. Familiar with standard concepts and practices within the field; relies on experience and judgment.
9. Provides direction to clinical and reception staff.
10. Ensures proper medical documentation for all patient care to maintain accuracy in E/M and HCC coding, impacting bonus eligibility.
11. Expected to see approximately 25 patients per day.
12. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
13. Completes credentialing and privileging reviews upon hire and re-credentialing as appropriate.
14. Strong computer skills, EMR experience preferred.
15. Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
16. Capable of treating most acute illnesses or injuries.
17. Remains calm under pressure, including emergency situations.
18. EMR system: Athena.
19. Clean malpractice history required.
20. Open to candidates seeking alternate shift schedules; to be discussed at interview.
21. Open to new graduates and TRULY Board Eligible candidates (within 5 years).
22. Work schedule: 36 clinical hours + 4 administrative hours weekly, with some on call and rotating Saturday shifts.
23. Not accepting Locums, 1099, visa candidates, or those commuting over 1 hour or holding multiple jobs.
