OPEN POSITION:
Physician - Internal Medicine or Family Practice

SCHEDULE:
- up to 30 Hours per Week
- Monday to Friday
- typically 9:00am to 3:00pm
- No Holidays
- No Nights
- Little to No On-Call
- 1 4-Hour Weekend Shift for Rounding per Month
- Exact Schedule Negotiable

COMPENSATION:
- $185,000 to $195,000 Base Salary
- Annual Productivity Bonus (5% of collections; minimum $15,000 guarantee)

COMPANY PROFILE:
This private practice is physician-owned and has been providing the highest quality of healthcare services to residents of Westchester County for more than 20 years. They are dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care in their own clinic, as well as in collaboration with their rehabilitation hospital partner, which is a 150-bed facility specializing in acute and subacute care.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The new physician will be employed by a private, physician-owned practice and will provide services at a partnered rehabilitation hospital.

The physician will treat patients in the 150-bed facility and oversee assigned nurse practitioners during work hours.

Duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

- provide medical consultation services and support to admitted patients
- perform admission consultations
- provide leadership to the medical consultation team, including chart reviews
- provide routine medical management
- attend to urgent issues during hours on-site
- attend weekly acute care transfer meetings
- collaborate with other providers, including a weekly meeting with the physician-owner
- act as a liaison between hospital staff and practice leadership

The physician will see an average of 15 to16 patients per day (adjusted based on actual work hours) with the support of a clinical assistant.

Patients are typically stable and being transferred to this facility for the final stages of their recovery process.

The hospital uses the Epic EHR.

On-call duties are very minimal (if any). The facility is staffed 24/7 by the practice s nurse practitioners and there is a triage service for them to contact if necessary, and a dedicated provider in the group who serves as the next point of contact. This physician would only be involved in on-call if that provider was unavailable and it was pre-agreed that the physician would be the next back-up in line.

The physician will conduct limited rounds one (1) weekend per month. This is done in one (1) half-day shift and the hours are negotiable.

- Board Certification, Internal Medicine or Family Practice
