The Physician serves as a healthcare professional capable of handling a variety of health-related problems. The work involves addressing moderately complex to complex issues, requiring an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
The Physician focuses on outpatient medicine, continuity of care, health maintenance, and disease prevention. Responsibilities include maintaining medical histories and records, referring patients to specialists as needed, and influencing departmental strategy. The role involves making decisions on complex issues regarding technical approaches, with a significant degree of autonomy in setting objectives and approaches.

Job Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients according to care standards
- Monitor quality of care through data and chart reviews
- Coordinate patient services effectively
- Participate actively in care team discussions and daily huddles
- Support a professional and approachable practice environment
- Complete medical documentation promptly, working with coding specialists to ensure accuracy
- Adhere to policies and protocols set by Clinical Leadership
- Collaborate with the Regional Medical Director on quality and policy issues
- Participate in growth opportunities for new or existing services
- Ensure compliance with licensing, certification, and accreditation standards
Qualifications
- Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine (preferred)
- Active, unrestricted DEA license
- Medicare Provider Number
- Two to five years of relevant experience (preferred)
- Experience managing a Medicare Advantage panel in a value-based care environment
- Knowledge of Medicare guidelines and coverage
- Understanding of HEDIS quality indicators
