Requirements:
• Active and unrestricted LA License
• Board Certified in Family Practice
• Valid DEA license
• BLS/ACLS
• Previous practice in settings such as schools, colleges, institutions, military, or correctional institutions
Responsibilities:
• Guide the Health and Wellness Program and assume responsibility for the quality of care rendered
• Assessment and diagnosis of illness and injury including medical evaluation, laboratory studies, visual and hearing screening, immunizations and inpatient unit visits for
minor conditions
• Case management of patients on long-term medications
• Oversight of weight management program for patients
• Review and approval annually of Health Care Guidelines for use by health and non-health staff
• Provide staff training, as necessary
• Collaborate with relevant staff to ensure appropriate accommodations for patients with disabling health or physical conditions
• Consult with the center director monthly to address clinical and organizational issues
• Attend conference calls and/or online trainings as scheduled
• Provide primary emergency care for illness and injury when necessary
• Treatment of urgent and other conditions not needing specialized care when necessary
• Management of chronic health conditions as directed when necessary
• Any other duties as may be assigned
