Family Medicine Physicians in Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Smithfield, Newport News - Bon Secours has a new Family Medicine position available in Carrollton! This growth position is at our Eagle Harbor Medical Associates practice, near the base of the James River Bridge, and less than 10 min from historic Smithfield!

Carrollton is a charming town of fewer than 7,000 total residents. Part of the Hampton Roads community, it offers direct access to the Peninsula from the James River Bridge; as well as a short drive to Newport News, Smithfield, Suffolk, Portsmouth and Chesapeake.

Eagle Harbor Medical Associates - Your practice details:

  • Open to new Grads or experienced physicians
  • M-F 8-5 work schedule
  • 3 MD's currently in the practice - this is a growth position to add patient access to care
  • Call is currently 1 day out of every 10 days - shared by multiple family medicine practices - No Hospital responsibility
  • Avg 18-24 patients per day
  • All ages - peds to geriatric - No OB - low peds %
  • Our providers provide Telemedicine through MyChart
  • EPIC EMR
  • Basic in-office procedures as needed - cryo, suture removal
  • EKG, on-site lab draws, POC testing
  • In Motion Physical Therapy in suite next door, PharmD in market, Diabetes classes offered, Nurse Navigator/Case Manager rounds in the practice
  • Very close-knit team, family atmosphere, little conflict or drama, strong leadership and respect for each other
  • Ideally looking for an MD with experience in primary care, chronic disease management and managing their own panel. Also willing to assist with acute and sick visits. An MD who is focused on population health preferred. Must be willing to participate in growing their own panel and helping to continue building the practice as well.
