Family Medicine job opportunity in Caribou, Maine - Located in Northern Maine, near the Canadian border, approximately 200 miles from Bangor, ME.
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary, comprehensive health and welfare benefits, professional liability insurance, CME reimbursement, relocation assistance, and education loan repayment if applicable. An annual allowance for licensing, DEA registration, professional society memberships, and journal subscriptions is included. All primary care centers participate in the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment program.
Specialist support includes urology, general surgery, ophthalmology, neurology, hospitalists, and occupational medicine. Access to outpatient clinics for cardiology, pulmonary, hematology/oncology, endocrinology, neurosurgery, ENT, pediatric cardiology, nephrology, gastroenterology, podiatry, and rheumatology, along with diabetes counseling and nutritional therapy.
Grow the practice by providing high-quality, efficient inpatient and outpatient care. Maintain effective communication with primary care physicians and specialists, coordinate patient transfers to tertiary centers as needed.
The physician practice management organization comprises 30 physicians and 26 mid-level providers across locations including Caribou, Presque Isle, Washburn, Fort Fairfield, and Van Buren. The system is designated as a Federally Qualified Health Center, expanding access and allowing employment of providers with H-1B and J-1 visas.
