Job summary

We seek a physician with a medical degree and New York State licensure, who demonstrates clinical excellence and preferably nursing home experience, to join our expanding Bronx/NYC service area

Qualifications

• Medical degree conferred by an accredited college or university is required.
• New York State Licensure, Board Eligible and/or Certified and required.
• Demonstrated clinical excellence.
• Nursing Home experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examines, diagnoses and treats patients.
• Ensures commitment to quality care within Essen Healthcare network.
• Diagnoses and treats diseases in general practice.
• Examina patients using medical instruments and equipment.
• Collects, records and maintains accurate patient information.
• Documents past medical, family and social history, review of systems, examinations, medications, allergies, assessment and plan.
• Orders or conducts tests, analyses and diagnostic imaging.
• Analyzes test results and examinations to diagnose conditions.
• Administers or prescribes treatments.
• Orders lab and imaging tests to guide treatment.
• Vaccinates patients to immunize against diseases.
• Advises patients on diet, hygiene and disease prevention.
• Consults with subspecialists within the network as needed.

Job description

Your responsibilities would include, but not limited to the following:

• Examines, diagnoses and treats patients
• Ensures fulfillment of Essen Healthcare commitment for ensuring quality care
• Diagnoses and treats variety of diseases in general practice
• Examines patients, using medical instruments and equipment
• Collects, records and maintains accurate patient information
• Documents items such as: past medical, family, and social history, review of systems, examinations, medications, allergies, assessment and plan
• Orders or executes various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient's condition
• Analyzes reports and findings of tests and of examination, and diagnoses condition
• Administers or prescribes treatments
• Orders lab and imaging tests to determine and manage an immediate treatment plan
• Vaccinates patients to immunize patients from communicable diseases
• Advises patients concerning diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease
• Consult with appropriate medical specialist when necessary; refer patient to subspecialists within network
