Job description

We are an established medical practice serving Cincinnati, Indianapolis, and the surrounding area, specializing in evaluations for patients with swallowing disorders. We are currently seeking additional physicians to join our team, with both full-time and part-time positions available. Physicians with various levels of experience are encouraged to apply. During training, compensation will be provided.

The practice is part of a network that includes sister practices in New England and Texas.

Compensation and Benefits

1. Annual income for working 4 to 5 days per week ranges approximately from $160,000 to $225,000 or more, depending on volume.
2. Benefits include health coverage, a 401(k) retirement plan, and an educational stipend.
3. No weekend or night call responsibilities.
4. Malpractice coverage, including tail coverage, is paid for by the practice. Over 19 years and more than 400,000 evaluations, we have not had any malpractice inquiries or actions.

Our Mission

Midwest Dysphagia Consultants aims to provide professional dysphagia consultations, including modified barium swallow studies, for patients with swallowing difficulties. These consultations are delivered via a mobile unit, as shown on our website.

Services and Scheduling

Physicians and speech-language pathologists request swallowing studies from our mobile unit at various facilities, private offices, and for homebound patients. Requests are routed through our office staff and are scheduled within 24 to 72 hours, often the same day, depending on volume and location. Our goal is to ensure staff are home between 4:00 and 5:00 PM daily.
