Job Opportunity: Primary Care Physicians at Piedmont Healthcare

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking Board Certified/Eligible Primary Care Physicians (Family Medicine & Internal Medicine) to join our practices in the Augusta, GA area, specifically at our new hospital campus at Piedmont Augusta.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for medicine, a proven track record of delivering quality patient care, and an interest in building a practice. This position offers the opportunity to take over an established practice, with potential to expand patient volume, collaborate with primary care providers, and access an extensive specialty network. As Georgia's largest healthcare system, Piedmont offers future leadership opportunities.

Current openings are available in Augusta, North Augusta, Grovetown, and Martinez, Georgia, as well as Aiken, South Carolina.

Requirements & Highlights

• Physician-friendly, transparent outpatient practice located in North Augusta, SC
• Work schedule: 40+ hours/week, Monday through Friday
• Patient volume: approximately 25-30 patients daily
• Work hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday-Thursday, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm Friday
• Shared outpatient call with other primary care providers; no inpatient or emergency department call required
• Procedures include joint injections, minor dermatology, and office-based procedures
• Full subspecialty support at Piedmont Augusta Hospital, GA
• Mid-level support includes CMA, NP, PA, and Clinical Leads
• EMR: Epic, with comprehensive training to ensure efficiency

Candidate Qualifications

• Board Eligible or Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, or Med-Ped
• Fellowship training considered
• Visa sponsorship considered (must meet filing criteria)

Compensation & Benefits

Salary is competitive, based on MGMA data, and varies per candidate, with:

• Two-year salary guarantee, followed by production-based compensation
• Production income from mid-level providers
• Annual quality bonus
• Sign-on bonus up to $75,000 (for relocation or forgivable loan)
• 100% malpractice coverage
• CME allowance
• 401(k) with employer match
• Up to $100,000 in loan repayment with a 5-year commitment
• Training stipend for up to 18 months pre-start
