Job description

Seeking a Full Spectrum BC/BE Family Medicine/OB Physician to become Core Faculty of a Family Medicine Residency Program in southwest Virginia.

Position Highlights:

1. Ideal candidate must be Family Medicine board certified with training in full-scope family medicine, including OB Fellowship training.
2. Physicians must have a strong commitment to graduate medical education.
3. This is a full-time position with the following duties:
   1. Handling administrative duties for the GME program, including resident supervision in the clinic and hospital, attending meetings, candidate interviews, curriculum development, and research.
   2. Providing direct patient care and clinical activities working with residents in inpatient and outpatient settings.
4. Call schedule: 1:2 for practice-based, low-volume OB patients; no overnight call for hospitalist shifts.
5. Office call: 1:6 (phone call only, with residents taking first call).
