Job summary

Akicita Federal, LLC seeks an Outpatient Family Practice Provider to deliver comprehensive medical care in a full-time walk-in clinic at the IHS facility in Ogema, Minnesota. You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of acute and chronic conditions in a collaborative environment with a two-provider team.

Responsibilities include histories, exams, tests, documentation in the EHR, and coordination with nursing, behavioral health and specialty services.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified in medicine.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• DEA registration or eligibility to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct outpatient medical care to walk-in patients of all ages.
• Perform medical histories, physical exams, assessments and diagnoses.
• Treat acute illnesses, manage chronic conditions and provide follow-up care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs and imaging.
• Prescribe medications per federal, state and IHS guidelines.
• Document all patient encounters in the EHR.
• Collaborate with nursing, behavioral health, pharmacy and specialties.
• Provide patient education, preventive care and referrals as appropriate.
• Comply with IHS policies, federal regulations and clinical protocols.
• Maintain professional standards, cultural sensitivity and patient confidentiality.
