The Family PracticePhysician shall deliver quality care to attain positive health outcomes for all our valued patients with emphasis on cultural sensitivity and human dignity.

The Carnegie Indian Health Center "provides outpatient medical care to patients of all ages with one full time family medicine provider. Pediatrics, Podiatry, Nursing, and Optometry specialty clinics are offered weekly." For more information, visit - https://www.ihs.gov/oklahomacity/healthcarefacilities/carnegie/

Position details:

  • 1099, rate $155-175/hour
  • 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday
  • Chenega covers medical malpractice insurance
  • Patient Volume: Estimated 20 per day

Responsibilities

  • Examine, diagnose, and develop treatment plans and recommendations for patients seen.
  • Recommend and refer patients to other Indian Health Service providers and Purchase Referred Care vendors.
  • Document services in theelectronic medical record system for patient encounters; complete administrative paperwork including electronic consults, co-signatures, completion of chart or Risk Management Reviews, unusualoccurrencesand peer review.
  • Provide consultation to the Hospital Emergency Department healthcare providers on an as needed basis.
  • Provide physician service and staff urgent care clinic, as needed.

Qualifications

  • Permanent, current,fulland unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
  • Board Certified in or Board Eligible in Family Practice and/or Internal Medicine.
  • Successful completion of a residency program in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Training Program.
  • Active BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Active DEA license.

Estimated Salary/Wage

USD $155.00/Hr. Up to USD $175.00/Hr.
