Job description

Position: Family Practice and Obstetrics Physician

Location: Riverside Community, Maine, near Portland

We are seeking a Family Practice | OB Physician for a hospital-employed opportunity in a group of 6 FP physicians and 1 PA. The practice includes outpatient family medicine, obstetrics, pediatrics, gynecology, and geriatrics.

Details:

  • Patient volume: 10 to 12 patients per day
  • Qualifications: BC/BE within 5 years post-residency
  • Practice setting: Medical Office Building attached to the hospital
  • Position: Employed with a competitive salary and full benefits, including productivity bonuses, loan reimbursement, and relocation assistance (discussed during initial interview)
  • Work schedule: Outpatient only, with a phone call ratio of 1:7
  • Vacation: 7 weeks (including vacation, sick leave, holidays, and education)
  • CME: $4000/year
  • Hospital call coverage: 1:7

Full hospitalist services available 24/7.

General Hospital is a 25-bed, independent critical access hospital located in Skowhegan, Maine, serving over 30,000 residents in central Maine. The hospital features a state-of-the-art medical office building adjacent to the hospital, providing easy access to primary and specialty care. The medical staff includes over 40 physicians in various specialties, supported by 722 full- and part-time employees, ensuring comprehensive health and medical services.
