Job summary

UW Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for the Outpatient Family Practice in Madison, Wisconsin. This role involves managing patients, particularly in weight management and postoperative care for bariatric surgery.

The successful candidate will have a Master's or Doctorate degree in nursing, along with relevant NP certifications, and will work primarily Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority.
• Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice (Family, Adult, or Adult/Gero Primary Care).
• Active DEA license or ability to apply for it.

Responsibilities

• Introduce patients to weight management program options.
• Teach group classes for patients in the surgical bariatric program.
• Manage postoperative Bariatric Surgery patients.
• Work up advanced foregut conditions for surgery optimization.
• Read/interpret esophageal manometry studies.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals.
