Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Stroud, OK is seeking a day shift, full-time Family Practice Medical Assistant to join Utica Park Clinic. You will provide patient care, perform administrative tasks, and support the care team led by physicians.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, EMR and Microsoft Office familiarity, and BLS certification within 14 days of hire. Preferred: Associate’s degree and CMA/RMA certification; 2 years MA experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic EMR and Microsoft Office knowledge.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree.
• Graduate from an accredited MA program or CMA/RMA certification.
• Two years MA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enters, maintains, and reports medical history, medical coding, and claims using EMR.
• Greets patients and escorts to exam room; takes vital signs and collects relevant medical information.
• Sterilizes/analyzes instruments; ensures exam rooms are clean and ready for patients; maintains privacy and comfort.
• Maintains inventory and stocks supplies for all exam rooms.
• Manages paperwork for inventory control and reviews orders for completeness.
• Requests referrals and insurance authorizations; coordinates with pharmacies, hospitals, and labs.
