A healthcare facility in Arizona is seeking a skilled Geriatric Physician for a 60-day locum tenens assignment starting 07/21/2025. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive geriatric care, focusing on preventative medicine to reduce hospital admissions among elderly patients. Working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the physician will manage a diverse caseload including high-risk, emerging-risk, and low-risk patients. This role requires expertise in geriatric primary care, strong coding and charting skills, and proficiency with eClinicalWorks electronic health record system.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide comprehensive geriatric primary care with a focus on preventative medicine
• Manage a diverse caseload of high-risk (15-20%), emerging-risk (10-20%), and low-risk (70-80%) patients
• Conduct thorough patient evaluations and develop appropriate treatment plans
• Implement strategies to reduce hospital admissions among elderly patients
• Utilize eClinicalWorks electronic health record system for accurate documentation and coding
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care
• Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and safety protocols
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current geriatric practices and treatments
Additional Information:
• Must be licensed to practice in Arizona
