Associate Market Medical Director, Making $370k+, Charlotte, NC
Associate Market Medical Director Job Summary

The Associate Market Medical Director is an important part of our Health leadership team. The physician in this role will be responsible for leading PCPs in their neighborhood of clinics, which may include some clinical practice alongside their physician colleagues to remain close to patients. They will also have mission-critical leadership responsibilities, including setting an example for high-quality primary care, serving as a leader, mentor, and coach to providers in our Health centers, and providing input on critical organization-wide strategic initiatives.

Role:
  • Compensation: Base $280,000-$300,000
  • Bonus: 25% of base salary
  • Will cover all clinics in the market, typically 3-5 clinics depending on the market
  • Start date: 2 months prior to market opening, ahead of the new market launch
  • President of the medical group
  • Potential for growth into other roles as the company expands
  • Involved in opening new markets and clinics
  • Initially involved in clinical care, with increasing administrative responsibilities as clinics stabilize and grow
  • Overseeing clinical operations and collaborating with VPs of operations
Benefits:

  • Pre-tax or post-tax Roth contributions (1% to 50% of eligible pay up to $23,000)
  • Matching contributions: 100% on the first 3%, 50% on the next 3%; contribute 6% each pay period to maximize match
  • PTO, paid holidays, and floating holidays — up to 29 days a year
Requirements:
  • MD or DO degree
  • Board Certified in IM or FM; Geriatrics experience a plus
  • Ability to mentor and coach
  • 3-5 years of value-based care or managed care experience preferred
  • Willingness to travel within the market
  • Strong interpersonal skills
Supporting Continuous Improvement:
  • Collaborate with corporate and market leadership to share best practices and identify improvement opportunities
  • Contribute strategic input to organizational goals, including network development, documentation, quality improvement, utilization management, transitional care, policy development, patient engagement, and community outreach
