Job description

UPMC Central PA is seeking full-time adult and senior care physicians to join our growing post-acute care team in the Carlisle region. Join UPMC and play an integral role in providing high-quality, compassionate care to our geriatric population. The UPMC Central PA Post-Acute team offers care in several skilled nursing facilities across the county.

Primary Care physicians, hospitalists, and geriatric-trained physicians are encouraged to apply.

About the Position:

1. Provide direct patient care across multiple facilities, including skilled nursing, rehab, personal care/assisted living, independent living, and clinics.
2. Collaborate with facility leadership, hospital discharge teams, care management, and other specialties to ensure quality care with aligned goals.
3. Engage in a variety of healthcare fields, from primary care and internal medicine to geriatrics and acute rehab, working with several specialists to broaden knowledge and skills.
4. Supervise and collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers.
5. Utilize EPIC EMR, online diagnostics, PACS imaging, and laboratory results.
6. Participate in clinical rounding Monday through Friday, with attractive daily schedules and flexible models. Overnight and weekend call is phone-based, shared equally among partners and APPs, with favorable ratios.
