Job summary

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree required.
  • Residency in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or related field completed.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Med‑Peds or related specialty.
  • 2 years of primary care experience preferred; exceptional new graduates considered.
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical skills; proficiency with electronic health records (EHR).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough evaluations, medical histories, physical exams, and order diagnostics.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Provide preventive care services including routine check-ups, immunizations, and screenings.
  • Manage chronic conditions (diabetes, hypertension, asthma) with ongoing monitoring.
  • Address acute medical issues (infections, injuries, urgent care needs).
  • Educate patients and families about health maintenance, prevention, and lifestyle changes.

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated & compassionate physician to join our dynamic team at the Nashville Healthcare Centers at Bordeaux and MetroCenter for Nashville General Hospital (NGH). The Physician (Family Medicine, Primary Care, Med/Peds or Internal Medicine) will provide comprehensive medical care to patients from birth to adult, focusing on wellness, preventive care, diagnosis, treatment, & management of various health conditions. This role involves developing individualized care plans, coordinating with specialists, & building long‑term relationships with patients.

We are Nashville’s original community-based hospital with 2 additional satellite clinics. Joint Commission accredited, NGH readily accommodates a wide range of needs from emergency services and acute care to ancillary and ambulatory services. NGH continues to maintain its strong commitment to the healthcare needs of Nashville and Davidson County underserved, while also providing care to all segments of the community.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in care coordination and case management to ensure seamless patient care.
Clinical Management
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in accordance with hospital/clinic policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Stay current with medical advancements, best practices, and guidelines in primary care.
Qualifications
  • Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
  • Training: Completed an accredited residency in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or a related field.
  • Board Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Med‑Peds or a related specialty.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience in primary care preferred. Exceptional new graduates with outstanding training will also be considered.
  • Skills: Strong diagnostic and clinical skills in primary care. Proficiency in utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems.
