Internal Medicine / Family Medicine Physician

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to provide comprehensive primary care services in a community health center setting. The physician will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients across a broad range of medical conditions while focusing on preventive care, chronic disease management, patient education, and care coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care, including examinations, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
• Manage acute and chronic medical conditions and provide preventive care.
• Interpret laboratory results and diagnostic tests.
• Counsel and educate patients and families regarding treatment and health management.
• Coordinate referrals and collaborate with specialists and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide clinical consultation and support to Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and other clinical staff.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, health center programs, and staff education.
• Provide telephone consultations and participate in after-hours coverage as required.
• Maintain accurate medical records and comply with healthcare, HIPAA, and safety standards.
• Support medical student, resident, NP, and PA education/preceptorship when applicable.

Qualifications

• MD or DO required.
• Active Missouri medical license in good standing.
• Active DEA and BNDD licenses required.
• Board Eligible or Board Certified preferred.
• Completion of residency in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or another primary care specialty preferred.
• Experience or strong interest in working in an urban/community health setting preferred.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care skills.
