Job summary

LakelandMD is seeking a Family Physician to deliver comprehensive primary care at our Lakeland, FL clinic. This full-time, on-site role focuses on wellness visits, chronic disease management, and preventive care within a patient-centric, direct primary care model.

You will review tests, coordinate with imaging centers and labs, and maintain accurate medical records while collaborating with clinic staff to ensure a welcoming environment and timely follow-up for all patients.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Primary Care and Family Medicine, providing comprehensive care across the lifespan.
• Clinical proficiency in Medicine and Urgent Care, including evaluation and management of acute and chronic conditions.
• Active, unrestricted MD or DO license in Florida, and board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills, for long-term therapeutic relationships.
• Ability to work independently in a small-practice setting with sound clinical judgment and time management.
• Comfort using electronic health records and telehealth tools for documentation and virtual consultations.

Role Description

The Family Physician will provide comprehensive primary care services to a diverse patient population in an on-site setting at LakelandMD in Lakeland, FL. This full-time role includes conducting routine wellness visits, chronic disease management, episodic and urgent care, and preventive health counseling. The physician will review and interpret diagnostic tests, coordinate care with imaging centers, labs, and pharmacies, and maintain accurate and timely medical records. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing individualized care plans, communicating with patients through in-person visits and digital channels, and ensuring timely follow-up and continuity of care. The Family Physician will collaborate closely with clinic staff to support a welcoming, efficient, and patient-centric environment.
