Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Partner to provide peer support, advocacy, and guidance to families navigating mental health, educational, and social service systems. The Family Partner will use their lived experience to support and empower caregivers, helping them to effectively advocate for their children and access necessary resources.

What You Will Be Doing to Make a Difference...

  • Provide peer support, guidance, and advocacy to families of children with emotional, behavioral, or mental health challenges.
  • Assist caregivers in navigating and accessing community resources, mental health services, and educational supports.
  • Facilitate support groups, workshops, and training sessions for parents and caregivers.
  • Driving is required

Requirements

  • Experience as a parent/legal guardian/foster parent of a youth with special needs, and preferably a youth with mental health needs
  • At least one year of professional experience within the Social Services
