Family Outreach Specialist (Part-time)

Family Outreach Specialist (Part-time)

Position Summary: Axis for Autism is seeking part-time support for our Parent Alliance. The Family Outreach Specialist is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the Parent Alliance program. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient operations, effective communication, and strong relationships with patients, families, and the community.

Your Role with Axis:

• Axis Parent Alliance
• Act as liaison between Axis Parent Alliance Manager and families
• Maintain online presence in the Parent Alliance through frequent posts and response to messages/inquiries.
• Respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
• Create event notifications for upcoming events
• Outreach to families to notify parents of upcoming events.
• Maintain database of APA families
• Host guest speakers via Facebook platform (requires occasional evenings).
• Events
• Act as primary point of contact for families at events (may require evening and weekend availability).
• Assist with internal special events (i.e. Back to School Drive, Holiday Gift Drive, etc.)
• Orders inventory including marketing items/brochures, etc.
• Communicate effectively face to face with the public to promote the Axis brand.
• Must have reliable transportation and be available evening/weekends, when needed.
  
  
  

Who You Are

• A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 2 years of experience as an administrative assistant or office coordinator is also required.
• Experience working in a behavioral health or medical environment preferred but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface effectively cross-functionally and within the clinical practice
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed
• Proficient in using Microsoft 365 and other office software programs
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proactive – someone who sees a need and is willing to jump in and help
