Seacoast Mental Health Center Career Center seeks a Family Outreach Specialist to provide therapeutic behavioral supports, family services, and targeted case management to youth and families in Exeter and surrounding communities.

Services are delivered in home, school, or community settings, with a team-based approach alongside clinical managers, therapists, and educators. Availability for weekday evenings is required, and strong collaboration with schools and external supports is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, human services or an equivalent.
• Experience with children and families or in mental health or human services settings recommended.
• Reliable transportation required for community-based services.
• Availability for weekday evening hours.
• Effective communication and collaboration within a team model.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with youth and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic behavioral supports, family support services, and targeted case management to eligible children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

This role within our Youth & Family Services Department will provide services to children, adolescents, and their families in our Exeterlocation. This role will provide therapeutic behavioral supports, family support services, and targeted case management to eligible children and their families. Services are delivered in the home, school, or community settings. Family Outreach Specialists work within a team model which includes clinical managers, case managers, therapists, psychiatrists and more. Family Outreach Specialists collaborate with external supports, such as school staff, community supports, DJJS/DCYF, and more. Family Outreach Specialists participate in trainings, consultations, and supervision.

Job Requirements:

• Required minimum education of a Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, human services or an equivalent


• Experience working with children and families or in mental health or human service settings recommended


• Reliable transportation required, as community-based services include transporting youth


• Availability for weekday evening hours required


• Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal and external supports and work within a team model


• Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with youth and families
