Job summary

Northern Trust in Chicago seeks an Associate Relationship Manager for its Global Family Office (GFO) Investment Practice. You will partner with Investment Relationship Managers to support a designated client base, coordinating with portfolio management, product, and operations to meet client needs.

Build strong relationships with family office executives and key stakeholders, coordinate reporting, and assist with onboarding new mandates to ensure a seamless, high‑touch service experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and experience interacting with institutional investors or similar professional contacts.
• Strong investment acumen and ability to discuss public and private market solutions.
• Excellent communication, organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support client service and business development within GFO Investment Practice.
• Coordinate with IRMs, portfolio management, operations and reporting to meet client needs.
• Onboard new investment mandates and ensure timely execution and issue resolution.
