Job summary

ALABAMA REGIONAL MEDICAL SERVICES is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to join our PRN pool to cover our four clinics as needed. You will provide general medical care to patients from pediatric to adult under physician supervision.

Requirements include a Master’s in Nursing, Alabama Advanced Practice licensure, and relevant certifications. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. ARMS emphasizes serving underserved communities in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing required.
• Alabama Advanced Practice licensure required.
• AANP/ANCC and/or Pediatric Nursing Certification Board certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical examinations and preventive care within guidelines.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify health issues.
• Conducts laboratory tests and records findings.
• Develops comprehensive patient care plans and reviews them periodically.
• Counsels patients on health maintenance and risk factors.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives and team-based care.
