Job summary

BRPCC in Baton Rouge, Louisiana seeks a licensed Nurse Practitioner to provide advanced primary and/or specialty nursing care in our facility. You will perform exams, record histories, create care plans, and administer diagnostic tests and treatments.

A Master of Science in Nursing and Louisiana NP licensure with prescriptive authority are required. Experience in primary care and serving homeless/low-income populations is valued.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing with a family health specialty.
• Current Louisiana NP licensure with prescriptive authority.
• Interpersonal skills to instruct patients and collaborate with health team.
• Experience with homeless/low-income populations.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles for diverse age groups.
• Conduct health assessments and plan individualized care for adults and elders.
• Establish medical diagnoses, order tests, and manage follow-up plans.
• Prescribe and regulate medications per Physician Agreement.
• Document health data accurately to coordinate services.
• Adhere to BRPCC guidelines and participate in staff education.
