Physicians Care is looking for dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to join our healthcare team in Fort Oglethorpe, GA.

ABOUT PHYSICIANS CARE:
Physicians Care, with 12 locations across Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee, is part of Urgent Team, a leading independent operator of urgent and family care centers in the Southeast. We provide quality, affordable healthcare at over 80 locations under eight brands.

Our walk-in centers offer services including treatment for injuries and illnesses, occupational health, and wellness care. We are open seven days a week: Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. All centers are Accredited Care Centers, recognized for safety, quality, and scope of services.

JOB SUMMARY:
As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, you will provide exceptional medical care to patients of all ages with various acute and chronic conditions. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to diagnose, treat, and educate patients, maintaining high standards of care. Full-time staff work rotating 36-40 hour weeks, including 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend; PRN staff work as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties generally reflect the expectations for this role but are not all-inclusive. Other duties may be assigned.

• Deliver excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and colleagues.
• Provide friendly, accessible care to all patients.
• Lead and assist during emergencies, maintaining a comforting presence.
• Adapt to a fast-paced, high-stress environment with variable hours and locations.
• Conduct medical assessments, treatments, management, and follow-ups, including primary care, urgent care, occupational health, DOT physicals, and workers' compensation.
• Perform procedures such as laceration repairs, nail removal, pap tests, injections, splinting, and abscess drainage.
• Determine and monitor appropriate care levels for patients.
• Oversee laboratory work, x-rays, injections, and specimen collection as applicable.
• Maintain clinical competencies.
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure operational and medical standards are met.
• Participate in policy development and quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist in staff education and development.
• Support growth initiatives for the center.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, certification, and accreditation standards.
• Represent the clinic in internal and external meetings.
• Provide guidance to medical staff to ensure quality and satisfaction.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience preferred but new graduates are welcome.
• State license as an APRN or Physician Assistant.
• Certification through AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA.
• DEA license or willingness to obtain.
• DOT certification or willingness to obtain.
• BLS certification.
