Job summary

Proactive MD is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to deliver comprehensive primary care at our Midland, TX employer-sponsored health center. You’ll spend ample time with patients, focusing on long-term outcomes and relationships rather than volume.

You will provide adult and pediatric care, preventive and chronic disease management, and coordinate care with an onsite clinical team in a supportive, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing (MSN).
• Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in family practice or primary care.
• Current RN license.
• Current NP license in state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Prescriptive authority under state/federal laws.
• Experience using electronic medical records (EMR); athenahealth used by Proactive MD.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to adult and pediatric patients in an employer-sponsored health center.
• Perform preventive, acute, and chronic care visits.
• Conduct physical examinations, health assessments, and medical histories.
• Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with patients.
• Provide health education, preventive care, and wellness counseling.
• Order and interpret lab and diagnostic testing.
• Prescribe medications per regulations.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists.
• Document encounters in the EMR.
• Maintain HIPAA, OSHA, and quality standards.
