Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Primary Care Glendale team in Indianapolis, IN. This full-time role offers a mix of pediatrics and adults with a diverse patient population and a collaborative environment with multiple physicians and APPs.

Qualifications include FNP or PA certification. Critical care and/or emergency room experience is preferred to support a broad range of clinical needs.

Responsibilities

• Assess health status through obtainment of relevant health history and comprehensive physical exam, preventative screening, and identification of medical risk factors.
• Formulate appropriate differential diagnosis and identification of individual, family, and community needs.
• Develops treatment plan to maximize the health potential of the individual, family, and/or community.
• Orders and adjusts medication per collaborative written agreement and prescriptive authority in accordance with the Indiana Nurse Practice Act, or in consultation, and with signature of physician.
• Directs the development, implementation, and evaluation of standards for nursing practice.
• Serves as a clinical resource for the nursing staff, physicians, hospital, and other healthcare providers.
• Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development over the lifespan.

• Full-time
• Monday-Friday
  • Negotiable schedule
  • 36 patient facing hours/week
• Mix of pediatrics and adults with highest % middle aged
• Diverse patient population with complex conditions
• Team includes 9physicians and 2 APPs
• Procedures include IUD insertion/removal and dermatological procedures

Key Responsibilities:
