Job summary

Optum Onsites is seeking a Per Diem Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our care team in Tempe, AZ. The role focuses on high-quality, patient-centered care across a small number of clinics and includes minor procedures and acute care as part of routine coverage.

Ideal candidates are independent, comfortable traveling between Tempe locations, and experienced with EHR systems. The compensation ranges hourly, with a total cash package based on base pay and bonuses.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of clinical experience as a FNP/PA in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, ambulatory, emergency and/or urgent care settings.
• Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain prior to start).
• Experience using Electronic Health Record systems for medical documentation.
• Experience seeing patients of all ages, including children and adolescents.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality, low acuity care including acute care of minor illness and injuries.
• Perform minor procedures (e.g., suturing, splinting, incision/drainage).
• Provide lifestyle and well-being counseling.

Clinic locations include:

• 150 W. University Ave., Tempe
• 2108 E. Elliot Rd., Tempe

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver high quality, low acuity care including:
  • Acute care of minor illness and injuries
  • Minor procedures (e.g., suturing, splinting, incision/drainage, etc.)
  • Lifestyle and well-being counseling

Required Qualifications:

• Certified Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Delaware
• Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• 2+ years of clinical experience as a FNP / PA in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, ambulatory, emergency and/or urgent care setting(s)
• Experience using computers for professional communication
• Experience using Electronic Health Record systems for medical documentation
• Experience seeing patients of all ages, including children and adolescents
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between clinic locations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using Athena EMR for medical documentation
• Proven ability to work autonomously in a clinical setting

Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $53.00 - $79.00 per hour. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as:
