Job summary

OptumCare is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our corporate care team in Port of Miami, serving patients ages 2 and up, in person and via telehealth.

As a Primary Care Provider, you will deliver whole-person primary care with a focus on prevention, chronic disease management, and minor procedures, supported by Telemedicine and a certified medical assistant. DEA/CPR required; Florida licensure; 2+ years' experience in primary care.

Qualifications

• Must hold Florida credential as FNP or PA.
• Current DEA registration required or able to obtain before start.
• CPR certification required or able to obtain before start.
• 2+ years of clinical experience as a FNP/PA in primary care, family/internal/ambulatory/urgent care.
• Proficiency with computers for professional communication.
• Experience using Electronic Health Record systems for medical documentation.
• Experience treating patients of all ages, including children and adolescents.

Optum Onsites delivers employer-based primary care that focuses on whole-person health, not occupational health services. This is a full-time position in Port of Miami treating patients ages 2 years and up in person and via telehealth.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Wellness and Preventative Physical Exams
• Acute care of minor illness and injuries
• Chronic Disease Management and Longitudinal care
• Minor procedures (e.g., suturing, splinting, incision/drainage, etc.)
• Lifestyle and well-being counseling
• Medical management of behavioral health conditions
• Telemedicine services
• Provide clinical leadership of worksite staff
• Work closely with a certified medical assistant

Required Qualifications:

• Certified Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Florida
• Current DEA registration (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• 2+ years of clinical experience as a FNP / PA in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, ambulatory, emergency and/or urgent care setting(s)
• Experience using computers for professional communication
• Experience using Electronic Health Record systems for medical documentation
• Experience seeing patients of all ages, including children and adolescents

Preferred Qualifications:

• Primary care or urgent care experience
• Experience treating patients ages 2 years and up

Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $109,500 - $164,000. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
