Baptist Health Urgent Care is seeking dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Family Nurse Practitioners to join our healthcare team in Fort Smith, AR.

About Baptist Health Urgent Care

With 23 locations across Arkansas, Baptist Health Urgent Care is part of Urgent Team, a leading operator of urgent and family care centers in the Southeast. We provide quality, affordable healthcare services, including treatments for injuries, illnesses, occupational health, and wellness, operating seven days a week with specific hours per location. All centers are Accredited Care Centers by the Urgent Care Association, emphasizing our commitment to safety, quality, and comprehensive care.

Job Summary

As a Nurse Practitioner, you will deliver exceptional medical care to patients of all ages, managing a variety of acute and chronic conditions. You will collaborate with a healthcare team, diagnose, treat, educate, and ensure high standards of care. Our full-time schedule involves rotating 36-40 hour weeks with weekday shifts and alternate weekends. PRN staff are scheduled as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exemplary customer service to patients, visitors, and colleagues.
  • Provide friendly, accessible patient care for all who seek our services.
  • Lead and assist during emergencies, maintaining a reassuring presence.
  • Work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment with variable hours and locations.
  • Perform assessments, treatments, management, and follow-ups for various medical needs, including primary care, urgent care, occupational health, DOT physicals, and workers' compensation.
  • Conduct medical procedures such as laceration repairs, nail removals, pap tests, injections, splinting, and abscess drainage.
  • Establish and monitor appropriate levels of care.
  • Support onsite labs, x-rays, injections, and specimen collections where applicable.
  • Maintain clinical competencies and adhere to medical policies and standards.
  • Participate in policy development, quality improvement, and staff education programs.
  • Assist in growth initiatives and ensure compliance with licensing and accreditation standards.
  • Provide guidance to medical staff to ensure quality services and patient satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Experience preferred but new graduates are welcome.
  • State license as an APRN.
  • Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner, with ability to see all ages.
  • DEA license or willingness to obtain upon hire.
  • DOT certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
  • BLS certification.
