Job summary

THIRA Health LLC is seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner to provide direct patient care for adolescent and adult psychiatric patients, working with THIRA’s prescribers. This role emphasizes family practice collaboration and medication management across PHP, IOP, and residential programs.

Ideal candidates hold a WA NP license with DEA registration, possess strong communication skills, and are able to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Nursing and NP licensure in Washington.
  • Active DEA registration required.
  • Minimum 2 years as a nurse practitioner.
  • Experience as a family nurse practitioner preferred.
  • At least 1 year administering medications with substance abuse knowledge.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and various software.
  • Able to pass comprehensive federal/state background checks.
  • Able to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct physical exams and order/interpret routine tests.
  • Diagnose, treat, and prescribe medications as needed.
  • Conduct weekly follow-up exams and document progress.
  • Collaborate with attending Psychiatrist/Medical Director and team.
  • Coordinate care with outside providers.
  • Communicate medical/medication information to patients and families.
  • Provide on-call support to staff and/or patients as needed.
  • Advocate for patient authorizations with third‑party payers.
  • Maintain infection control standards across THIRA's facilities.
  • Support THIRA programs across PHP, IOP, and Residential.

Primary Purpose and Function

Provide direct patient care and manage caseload of adolescent and adult psychiatric patients from a family/primary care perspective in partnership with THIRA’s psychiatric prescribers and all other medical personnel.

Required Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Nursing
  • Licensed prescriber in State of Washingtonwith active DEA registration
  • Two years (2) minimum experience as a nurse practitioner(residency year experiencemay apply)
  • Prior experience as a family nurse practitioner experience
  • One-year minimum required experience administering medications, including knowledge in substance abusetreatment
  • Demonstratedproficiencyin the use of Microsoft Office and theability to use various softwareprograms
  • Must be able to successfully pass a comprehensive criminal background check (Federal and state)
  • Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends & holidays asneeded
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in Residential IOP, PHP
  • Experience working witheating disorders

PATIENT CARE
