MainStreet Family Urgent Care in Montgomery, Alabama is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner to join our fast-paced urgent care team. You will provide patient-focused care across urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine, with opportunities to lead a small team.

New graduates are welcome after orientation; you will treat patients of all ages including pediatrics and geriatrics. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Board-certified FNP with MSN or higher required.
• MSN or higher degree and FNP certification required.
• DOT certification or willingness to obtain; cost covered.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat a range of acute and primary care conditions in urgent care.
• Perform minor procedures, suturing and splinting as needed.
• Conduct orthopedic evaluations and review radiographs with radiologist.
• Manage dermatology and eye problems; interpret EKGs.
• Provide pediatric and geriatric care; supervise MA team; telemedicine when appropriate.

Overview

Exciting full-time Family Nurse Practitioner opportunity in Montgomery, Alabama. KidsStreet Urgent Care is growing and welcoming a fast, fun, and friendly FNP to join our team full time. You will provide patient-focused care in urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine with the ability to lead a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care environment.

This opportunity is suitable for FNPs early in their career, including brand new graduates. After on-site orientation and training, you will have additional training shifts with existing providers. The program includes a pediatric urgent care CE course and access to NP on-call support to assist with clinical decision making as you grow in the role.

You will utilize your full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages, including babies, children, adults, and geriatric patients. You will work to maintain and apply all learned skills in an urgent care setting.

You will lead and model professional behavior for your team of medical assistants, supporting their growth and career development while delivering high-quality patient care.

We are committed to supporting families in our communities and accept Medicaid. We operate 362 days a year to meet patient needs and provide timely care, including pediatric care and broad family coverage beyond traditional urgent care hours.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues

• Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.)

• Suturing

• Splinting

• General Orthopedic evaluations/management

• Review of x-rays (over-read by Radiologist)

• General Dermatology

• General eye problems

• General EKG interpretations

• Emergency management skills

• General GYN expertise

• Treating children of all ages

• Occupational medicine

• Telemedicine

Schedule

KidsStreet Clinic Hours — open extended hours, 7 days a week:

• Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

• Saturday – Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Work a rotating schedule that includes every other weekend. Sample:

• Week 1: Monday (ON), Tuesday (ON), Wednesday (OFF), Thursday (OFF), Friday (OFF), Saturday (ON) and Sunday (ON).

• Week 2: Monday (OFF), Tuesday (OFF), Wednesday (ON), Thursday (ON), Friday (ON), Saturday (OFF) and Sunday (OFF).

Qualifications

• Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required

• MSN or higher education required (new graduate friendly)

• DOT certification or willingness to become DOT certified (we cover the cost)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Experience with EMR and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred
