Job summary

Four Winds Hospital in Westchester, NY seeks a Family Nurse Practitioner to join our inpatient psychiatry team in Katonah. The role includes taking medical histories and exams for adults, adolescents and children, coordinating with physicians and staff to develop care plans, and promoting prevention and wellness during inpatient stays.

The position features three 12.5-hour shifts (8:00am–9:30pm) with one weekend per month (8:00am–2:00pm).

Qualifications

• Current NYS certificate as a nurse practitioner in family health.
• Valid DEA number and unrestricted DEA license.
• Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner is preferred.
• Salary starting at $130,000.00.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with the Director of Health Services, consulting physician specialists, staff psychiatrists, primary care providers and outside consultants to develop appropriate health care plans.
• Conduct medical histories and physical exams upon admission and for episodic medical problems for adults, adolescents and children during inpatient stay.
• Teach, counsel and assist individuals to assure responsibility for prevention of illness and the promotion, maintenance, and restoration of health.
• Three 12.5 hour shifts 8:00am - 9:30pm with one weekend a month 8:00am-2:00pm
