ARMOUR FAMILY MEDICINE, PLLC is a community-focused, Rural Health Clinic, based at 728 West Sherrod Ave. in Covington, Tennessee. The practice provides comprehensive family medicine services to individuals and families in the Covington area and surrounding communities. Team members work in a collaborative, patient-centered environment with an emphasis on continuity of care and preventive health. We are also joining with an ACO, Accountable Care Organization, Integris, beginning January 2027, to further improve the care of our Medicare patients.

Role Description

The Family Nurse Practitioner is a full-time, on-site role based in Covington, TN. This role involves providing primary care services, including health assessments, diagnosis, and treatment for patients of all ages. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing acute and chronic conditions, performing routine wellness and preventive care visits, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals. The Family Nurse Practitioner will also provide patient education, support care planning, document encounters in the medical record, and participate in practice-wide quality improvement and compliance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Clinical expertise in Family Nurse Practitioner practice, including Nurse Practitioners and Nursing skills.
• Experience in Primary Care and general Medicine within an outpatient or family medicine setting.
• Ability to provide care in Urgent Care or same-day visit contexts as needed.
• Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Tennessee and national board certification as an FNP (or eligibility to obtain).
• Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Strong clinical judgment, documentation skills, and commitment to evidence-based practice.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills with a focus on respectful, inclusive patient care.
• Basic proficiency with electronic health record systems and common clinical technologies.
