Job summary

Compass Health Network in Missouri seeks a Family Nurse Practitioner to deliver direct patient care in our primary care clinics. You’ll work with a dedicated team to provide patient-centered services focused on health, wellness, and continuity of care.

This full-time position requires an FNP with Missouri-approved certification and an active APN license. Competitive salary, liberal PTO, CE reimbursement, and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an approved graduate nursing program required.
• Active Advanced Practice Nurse certification approved by the State of Missouri required.
• Responsible for oversight of subordinate clinical staff and appropriate delegation within scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to patients within their scope of practice.
• Serves as a resource for consultation and referral for providers for other disciplines.
• Ensures continuity of care for services in conjunction with hospital admissions and specialty referrals.
• Initiates and supports efforts to promote wellness concepts and self-responsibility for health.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient’s clinical problems and health care needs.
• Discusses cases with physician and other health professionals to prepare a comprehensive patient care plan as needed.
• Provides high quality of care with respect to accepted standards; participates in peer review process.
• Prescribes or recommends drugs or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy or related therapeutic procedures.
• Maintains acceptable patient productivity numbers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Documents all appropriate patient activity in EMR and submits office visit billing codes in compliance with CMS guidelines.
• Comply with Collaborative Practice Agreement per Missouri laws and board requirements.
