Job description

Overview

This is an as needed PRN position. WeCare tlc partners with employers to proactively manage their health care cost by delivering high-quality primary care for employees and their families.

WeCare tlc has an opportunity for a skilled Family Nurse Practitioner. The highly qualified individual will be responsible for providing primary care to eligible employees and their dependents. Our health clinic does not bill insurance, allowing more time with patients. The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing primary care medical services and promoting wellness programs to educate the patient population and help them make healthy lifestyle choices. We seek individuals who are passionate, bright, focused, self-motivated, friendly, organized, flexible, and adaptable, with the ability to build rapport quickly. Current knowledge of clinical practices is required, along with good judgment, excellent follow-up skills, a sense of urgency, and knowledge of healthcare and the medical industry.

Responsibilities
  • Provide primary care medical services to employees and their dependents.
  • Promote wellness programs and educate patients to support healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Demonstrate good clinical judgment, timely follow-up, and a sense of urgency in patient care.
  • Build rapport with patients and staff; work collaboratively with clinic team.
Qualifications
  • Graduated from an accredited program; valid state license in the practice state; minimum of 2 years NP experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong computer skills and comfort with technology.
  • Preferred: DEA registration and DOT Certification.
  • Experience in family practice, preventive care, and/or occupational health.
  • Understanding of chronic disease treatment; ability to perform common in-office procedures.
  • Knowledge of preventive care guidelines and CPT/ICD-10 coding; high emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to develop rapport with patients and staff.
