Highrock MetroWest Family Ministry Director/Pastor – Part-time OR Full-time.

Position: Family Ministry Director/Pastor
Reports to: Highrock MetroWest Lead Pastor, George Cladis, GeorgeC@highrock.org
Status: Part-time (25 hours/week). This could also be a full-time pastoral position with added responsibilities.
Compensation: Commensurate with experience

Overview

We are a vibrant Highrock congregation of 400 seeking a passionate and experienced Family Ministry Director/Pastor to oversee and grow our children’s (Kidsrock) ministry for 35 elementary-aged and 15 preschool children. The ideal candidate will be deeply committed to their Christian faith, skilled in childhood and faith development, and adept at organizing and equipping parents as ministry partners. This position is a collaborative position, working both with the local Highrock MetroWest team and further resourced and supported by the NexGen Ministry of Highrock Church (multisite) overall. There is also a paid Kidsrock leader to support the Family Ministry Director/Pastor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with other Highrock children’s ministry leaders to develop, implement, and evaluate engaging, age-appropriate faith formation programs for preschool and elementary children.
  • Recruit, train, and lead a team of parent volunteers, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Plan and coordinate weekly Sunday programming, special events, and seasonal activities (e.g., VBS, holiday celebrations).
  • Ensure all programming aligns with the church’s mission and theological values.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, providing resources and support for faith development at home.
  • Maintain child safety policies and procedures, including volunteer screening and training.
  • Collaborate with church staff and leadership to integrate children’s ministry into the broader life of the church.
  • Track attendance, evaluate program effectiveness, and recommend strategies for growth.
  • Supervise the part-time Kidsrock leader.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Christian Education, Child Development, or a related field (preferred). (M.Div. degree for pastors).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in children’s ministry, education, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in childhood development and faith formation.
  • Proven ability to recruit, organize, and empower parent leaders and volunteers.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Personal commitment to the Christian faith and ability to model and articulate it.
  • Vision and drive for program growth and outreach.

Compensation

  • Part-time, 25 hours per week; or full time Pastor with added responsibilities.
  • Salary commensurate with experience and education.
