Job summary

ARCHDIOCESE OF SEATTLE PAYROLL SERVICES seeks a Family Ministry Coordinator to organize family faith formation, catechesis, retreats, workshops, and parish missions. The role includes coordinating marriage and parenting programs, family events, and connections to parish life for children and parents.

The position supports youth ministries and elementary religious education, develops home-faith resources, and leads volunteer recruitment and training within the parish community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Ministry, Theology or Education is preferred.
• Catholic ministry experience in family ministry or religious education is highly valued.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Outlook, social media, Canva and Adobe Creative Suite is expected.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate family faith formation programs, catechesis, retreats, workshops and parish missions.
• Organize marriage and parenting ministry activities and family events.
• Plan and support youth ministries and children’s religious education.
• Develop resources for parents to practice the faith at home and connect families with parish life.
• Coordinate volunteer recruitment, training and schedules for family ministry.
