Job summary

First Presbyterian Church in Colorado Springs seeks a Family Ministries Pastor to shepherd kids, youth, young adults, and their families. This role supervises five directors and leads through a Spirit-led, non-anxious presence to strengthen families across life stages.

The candidate will shape a broad ministry strategy, coach staff, and collaborate across departments to live out the church's Light + Life for the City vision. Ordination in ECO or willingness to pursue is required.

Qualifications

• M.Div. or equivalent theological training.
• Ordination in ECO or willingness to pursue ECO ordination.
• Strong commitment to Reformed/Evangelical theology and family discipleship.
• Experience supervising ministry staff across multiple areas.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive family ministry strategy for kids, youth, and young adults.
• Direct leadership to five full-time directors and foster a healthy staff culture.
• Champion marriage and parental ministry with programs and pastoral support.
• Evaluate events, programs, and curricula for impact and alignment with mission.
• Recruit, train, and mobilize volunteers across ministry areas.
• Serve as pastoral liaison to the Family Ministry Team of Session.
• Collaborate with Discipleship Pastor and others to integrate family ministry.
• Offer frontline pastoral presence and care to families.
• Preach and lead worship as assigned; participate in rites and care.
