Lead the Future of Family Medicine at Mercy Health Toledo

Mercy Health is seeking an experienced physician leader to serve as Program Director for our ACGME-accredited Family Medicine Residency. Based at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center and the Gandy Family Medicine Center in Toledo, this full-time academic position offers the opportunity to shape the next generation of family physicians within a mission-driven health system committed to serving a diverse patient population.

Role Highlights

  • Full-time academic leadership position with clinical practice responsibilities
  • Oversight and administration of the Family Medicine Residency Program
  • Direct mentorship and supervision of residents and faculty
  • Collaborative leadership to maintain ACGME accreditation
  • Outpatient and inpatient clinical responsibilities
  • Involvement in community engagement and health equity efforts

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead curriculum development, faculty recruitment, and program evaluation to ensure excellence in education and patient care
  • Maintain program accreditation and oversee continuous quality improvement
  • Coordinate faculty and resident evaluations and performance reviews
  • Participate in recruitment, selection, and onboarding of residents
  • Collaborate with institutional leaders on strategic and financial planning
  • Serve as liaison among faculty, residents, and hospital administration
  • Prepare and submit required documentation and reports for program compliance
  • Represent the program at institutional and GME committee meetings

Qualifications

  • Board certified in Family Medicine
  • Minimum of five years clinical experience
  • At least three years of experience in graduate medical education (teaching or administrative)
  • Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Ohio
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
