Job summary

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited residency program.
• Valid and current California Medical License.
• Current DEA Registration.
• Current Basic Life Support/CPR certification.
• Board eligibility or board certification in Family Practice within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform medical examination and evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, minor procedures and health education following clinic policies.
• Provide education on preventive care and medications to patients and families.
• Refer patients for specialty services, labs and tests as needed.
• Maintain confidential medical records per state regulations and clinic policies.
• Supervise clinical staff and assist in new program implementation.
• Support implementation of EHR/EPM and related technologies.
• Provide medical back-up for mid-level practitioners and participate in peer review.
