Job description

Geisinger Community Medicine is seeking board certified family medicine or med/peds trained physicians for an outpatient primary care opportunity in Mifflintown, Pennsylvania.

Job Duties

At work, you will experience:

• Outpatient only clinic schedule– variable work week

• Physician/APP panel sharing model

• Nurse call centerto assist with on-call workload

• Nurse coordinators support high needs patients

• Centralized prescription refill team

• Interdisciplinary teamand quick access to specialty services

• Epic EMR– universal throughout Geisinger

• Compensation – competitive salary ranges from $320k to $375k based on experience

• Recruitment incentives- up to $250k

• Residency/Fellowship stipend– up to 45k; available up to 18 months prior to graduation

• Continuing medical education– 15 working days and $4,500 CME funds

Position Details

Mifflintown, PA -Nestled among the Tuscarora Mountains and the Juniata River, Mifflintown serves as the county seat for Juniata County. Noted for its scenery and wildlife, the area was known for its Native American trails, turnpike, canal and railroad, which made the area a major route for trade and travel. The town is centered around the circa 1875 Juniata County Courthouse, which currently houses county offices and county artifacts. Mifflintown also serves as the headquarters for Empire Kosher Poultry, the nation’s largest producer of kosher poultry.
