Job Overview

As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Primary Care Physician (PCP) will provide primary medical diagnostic and therapeutic care, refer patients to specialists, and offer education and preventive care advice. The PCP's performance will be monitored using relevant metrics aligned with the organization's strategic and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop personal relationships with patients.
  • Assess, plan, and implement patient care promptly.
  • Create and monitor individualized health programs based on patient history.
  • Conduct wellness exams and administer vaccinations.
  • Perform medical procedures and refer to specialists when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with Georgia Medical Practice Act regulations.
  • Educate patients on health management and disease prevention.
  • Supervise physician assistants/nurse practitioners and participate in peer reviews, performance improvement, and continuing education.
  • Manage patient appointments (18-22 per day), with no overnight admissions or night shifts.
Minimum Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree with current Georgia medical license.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Family Practice or Internal Medicine.
  • Valid DEA registration.
  • Completed family practice/internal medicine residency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and effective communication skills.
  • Attentive, caring nature, and ability to support a managed care environment.
Additional Details
  • Employment type: Full-time, Mid-Senior level.
  • Work hours: Monday – Friday 8-5; optional Saturdays 8-2 for additional bonus.
